I remember when i was a kid watching TV, All 3 channels. I watched the Brady Bunch a lot back then, nothing wrong with that. As i remember it i was watching on episode where the family went on a vacation, they loaded the station wagon up with the whole family. They even took Alice! where did they go? THE GRAND CANYON!!! this was great, they went on vacation to the Canyon. they rode mules to the bottom, camped out, bobby and Cindy got lost, Indians, Blah, blah blah!! they were fine and went home. At that point in life i said "YOU CAN GO DOWN TO THE BOTTOM"? who knew? "That would be so cool" i thought.
WELL!! here i am a big kid now and a few years later, yes i said a few..i was talking to neighbor Larry one day and he was telling me a story of his, He has many. He talked of a camping trip he has taken, YEP!!!! the Grand Canyon!!! I said "LARRY"
BRADY BUNCH!, Vacation, Alice Blah blah blah!!! that would be soooo cool! and then he said it. let's go. COOL!!!
NOW, here comes reality. The trip goes like this. It's a 4 day event, we hike DOWN the Canyon to the Havasupai Indian tribe(8 miles)then 2 miles to the camp ground, this where i tell you we have no modern facilities, no fires, no phones, no TV. WOW! and we spend 2 days down there, AND THEN WE HIKE OUT!!??!! what was i thinking. oh yea, i wasn't!! The Date is April 28 and i placed a countdown for ya. so follow along and have fun.
